Sunday, May 27: In celebration of the Scottish roots of Presbyterianism, the worship service of Montreat Presbyterian Church this Sunday, May 27 is the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan, an annual Montreat tradition held in Anderson Auditorium and sponsored by the Montreat Scottish Society. The Rev. Dr. John B. Rogers, Jr. is this year’s preacher, Vivian Hare is the organist, and many other members of our church family are also part of the worship team including Bill McCaskill, Jack Sadler, Keith Grogg, Betsy Ray and Clara Hare-Grogg.
“Pipin’ on the Green” by the Montreat Scottish Pipes & Drums will begin at 10:15 A.M. outside the auditorium.
Sundays, June 3-August 5: The Summer Worship Series, sponsored by the Montreat Conference Center, begins on Sunday, June 3 and extends through Sunday, August 5 with a wonderful line-up of distinguished preachers. Our pastor, Keith Grogg, works closely with the summer worship team throughout the summer in crafting liturgy and leading worship.
Saturdays, June 16-July 28: Montreat Presbyterian Church’s Saturday Morning Worship begins on Saturday, June 16! We meet in the Swannanoa Room in the Allen Building (304 Lookout Road, Montreat). Doors open at 10:30 A.M. for fellowship and refreshments. Worship begins at 11:00 and lasts about 35 minutes. All are welcome!
